San Antonio Humane Society has been serving Bexar County since 1952. In 2018 alone, 4,610 dogs and cats, were adopted out of their care. It is a modern, no-kill facility, with carpet towers for cats to play, and an open courtyard, for dogs to be walked. San Antonio Humane’s volunteers clocked nearly 30,000 hours last year; and the passion of Mike and Felicia, as they gave our team a tour, was absolutely felt.
There are an estimated 150,000 stray animals in San Antonio alone; and San Antonio Humane, spayed or neutered 19,443 pets last year, making a huge dent, in the amount of unattended litters, being born in neighborhoods all over the city. They also operate a wellness clinic, foster care, and a lost and found service, for owners who have lost pets. The Vertical Events and Promotions team delivered a pallet of dog treats. dog treats. That delivery, will meet the demand of feeding hundreds of dogs for the month of August.
Felicia introduced the team to two surrendered pets, Missy and Kyro, a West Highland Terrier brother and sister, whose owners could no longer care for them The puppy room brought smiles, and broken hearts to everyone, during the tour; and Vertical Events and Promotions looks forward to more pet treat drives, to help alleviate the need at San Antonio Animal Shelters, please visit their website for more information.
